Scorecard: Learn how to score with Winds, Dragons, Flowers, Seasons, and Intricate Hands! In order to take this class, you will need to be familiar with Wind of the Round, Wind of your Seat, Flowers, Seasons, which Honor Tiles complement which Suit, and consistently form higher point hands.

You can become a member of the Strawberry Rec Center (118 E. Strawberry Drive, Mill Valley) for just $20/year. You can also do a $5/drop in fee to check it out first.

Class 1: Tile Talk: Getting to Know Your Mahjong Set
We’ll start with the basics—learn about the Mahjong tiles, their types, and how the game is structured. You’ll understand how the game works and play a simple mock rounds to get comfortable with the flow.
Class 2: Building Hands: Pungs, Chows, and Strategy
Now that you're familiar with the tiles, we’ll dive into the core of the game—making sets and understanding how to strategize your way to a winning hand. We’ll practice creating Pungs, Chows, and other combinations in fun, interactive exercises.
